10 hours of editing….. Ben Mark Photography : Football Composite Work

When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful: Eric Thomas

I love this challenge, the challenge to be a better photographer/editor than I was yesterday..

Starting off this photo with Joe, I initially used one of him sprinting through a cloud of chalk, although the photo looked ok, it just wasn’t right!

I tried a few different idea’s, but due to it being slightly mistimed, I just couldn’t get it to look right. I checked with a few mates and they agreed so I changed to another image we shot earlier on that day and the ball started rolling 🙂

I merged the backgrounds together from 3 different images to create a unique smokey stadium, then using some of the chalk explosions I merged a few of them together to make an explosion from Joe connecting with the ball, then added some motion blur to him to enhance the explosion.

I’m genuinely please with the outcome as I actually took around 10 hours to find the right look.

A plan of mine is to set up adult/kids photo shoot’s offering a choice of different backgrounds to make your own football based photo but also open it up to different sports in the future 🙂

I still have a lot of photo’s to work through from the shoot, so unfortunately you’ll have to be a bit patient until the next one is ready but for now I hope you enjoy what Joe and myself created!

If your son/daughter or team would like to arrange a shoot with me then please feel free to get in touch.
