2019’s First Coaching Success Story
I wanted to take this opportunity to talk about my first big success with my venture into teaching other Photographers around the world how to improve their business.
The plan is simple.
Teach amateur photographers how to take their business from Zero to their desired income from weekly accountability emails and also getting them out and using their camera more.
Accountability is massive, it’s certainly changed my business from where it was.
Every week I send my clients over an email or a video with tips and tricks on how to better their business. I also get them to send me 3 of their best photos each week.
The questions I ask them not only question their weekly success but also questions them on how they can, in their own opinion improve the images.
Something I have found to be INCREDIBLY helpful to me was having the chance to review my best work and see how I could take my images from a 6 to a 7, then from a 7 to an 8 and so on up to a 10.
My Check in’s that I have with my own business coach are a constant reminder that I need to perform to keep up to good standards with my business and my investment.
Do I have great weeks every week? NO.
Have I had success every week? NO.
Has my business and overall processes improved during this time? YES
Have I doubled my income with a good chance to triple it before the end of the financial year? YES.
Gaining this knowledge has been invaluable to me, I am happy I took the plunge when I did. Was I scared to invest? HELL YES
I paid £5000 for an online coach, but has it been worth it? 10000%
So much that I was able to make 50% of that cost back in JUST ONE DAY from a new improved process.
So, what about this 1st success of 2019?
Since launching my coaching over 3 months ago, I have slowly gained clients around the world.
The list includes:
- Dubai
- Australia
- Ireland
- London
- Midlands
- Scotland
I’ve had enquiries from people in Canada and USA, Mexico, Portugal and India so expect that list to grow!
This blog post really isn’t to show off my success in launching what has grown to a worldwide business, actually far from it.
It’s actually to show off what an amazing feeling it is to be able to impact someone else’s life in another country to allow them to start living their dreams.
Steve, my very first client in Dubai has impressed me massively since coming on board. He’s always been very humble and also kept the burning desire to learn and do more even with the hurdles he’s had in his life including some job difficulties and also not a huge knowledge in working with people as a photographer.
We’ve slowly together worked hard to pick out the small issues with the images he has sent over in his check in’s and also the way in which he approaches new clients to get them on board.
Steve has been working with me for 3 months now. As of this weeks check-in, Steve has earned over half of the money he’s invested into training with me, plus has now had more people getting in touch to work with him.
What I did want to take a few minutes to explain here is, it’s not just about the money that I’m interested in, it’s in helping him build a brand/ business that’s going to last as long as he wants it too. I’m not here to turn the money over quickly, even in my own brand I’m here to make an impact on people’s lives not just my wallet.
Steve’s first check in images was, to be honest, not amazing, he had a lot to learn and take in.
These were not paid for images (as far as I am aware) these were just trial images.
I mean, they were OK, but nothing that was going to set the world on fire, I knew from seeing Steve’s landscape work that there was a talent hidden inside, we just needed to find it…
We’re now going to step forward just 12 weeks…
How much better do these look???
Not only are these images lit well, but the model also looks great, sharp, well composed and just overall visually appealing compared to his first shots. High 5 Steve!
All this progress in just 12 weeks of coaching!!!!
I just wanted to take a chance to say to you, if you’re reading this and not happy with the current situation in your life…
PLEASE, PLEASE & PLEASE invest in yourself.
The whole point of this post was to show that not only myself but Steve made the sacrifices and took the risk to invest in ourselves to follow our passions and follow our dreams and it’s paying off.
Is he where he wants to be yet? NO
Is he closer than he was 12 weeks ago? HELL YES
Whatever profession you’re in, be it photography, model, artist, singer, videographer, painter, plumber…
Invest into a coach who can help you achieve your goals, be patient, dream big, work hard.
Stop wasting your hard earned money on STUFF YOU DON’T NEED and invest it into yourself.
How many of you can say you wasted over a £1000 last year?
That’s exactly what I did, decided I was fed up of wasting money on crap and actually put it towards investing into myself.
I promise you, if you find the right coach, you trust/believe in yourself and give yourself time, that by this time next year, which I hope all of you will still be with me in, that you can look back and go thank the lord that I decided to do this for me.
Not only has this impacted my life by investing in ME, but it’s also financially benefitted my family and now its making an IMPACT on OTHER PEOPLES LIVES AROUND THE WORLD.
