Dean Cueson at Ollerton Skatepark

A little over 3 years ago, Dean and myself met up to shot some photo’s around a few skate parks in the Nottingham area.

From that shoot, I was very fortunate to have one of my photo’s published on a double page spread in Ride UK BMX magazine (see below). After seeing it printed, I have to admit I really wasn’t happy with myself in my own opinion as I thought I could have shot it a lot better…

Only my less powerful flash fired and also the background was really over exposed for the shot…

I was sitting at home, just woken up when facebook decided to remind me that it was 3yrs since we had shot this photo and so I jumped straight onto messenger and got talking to Dean and simply said “we’ve got to re-shoot this” sooo….

After being stuck in 4 hours worth of beautiful Birmingham traffic, we headed to a town near Mansfield called Ollerton to a pretty awesome little skate park. The whole idea behind the shoot was to get the sunset in the shots, so Dean and Tom Justice (who’s photo’s will come soon) warmed up and started to put on a show for the locals.

The rest as they say is history and you can see below what raw talent Dean has. I hope you like what we achieved on the day, Dean is a sound lad and were in the process of arranging another shoot for a new edit he is planning 🙂

Come back soon to see what Toms photo’s came out like!
